Alex Stathakis

With over 14 years of experience, Alex specialises in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions measurement, verification, and disclosure, with deep expertise in environmental and climate reporting. His core skills include designing and reviewing GHG inventories, assessing the credibility of emission reduction and offset claims, and translating complex technical requirements into clear, decision-relevant information for boards and executives.

He has a strong background in analysing climate-related risks and opportunities and integrating these into corporate strategy, risk management, and financial planning in line with recognised international guidance. His work is grounded in rigorous assurance practice, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement, enabling him to work effectively across finance, operations, and sustainability teams. This combination of technical depth, strategic insight, and practical delivery allows him to advise on complex sustainability issues in a way that stands up to scrutiny from regulators, investors, and independent auditors.
